Niniejsza praca stanowi formalną i semantyczną analizę morfologicznie złożonych nazw wykonawców czynności w języku sztuk Williama Szekspira. Celem pracy było wyodrębnienie formantów derywujących kategorię Nomen Agentis oraz oszacowanie ich produktywności na podstawie relacji ilościowej typów i tokenów, stopnia przejrzystości semantycznej, występowania w funkcji anaforycznej oraz tworzenia nowych formacji o znaczeniu agentywnym. Wiele uwagi poświęcono w pracy licznym agentywnym neologizmom i neosemantyzmom, jako przejawom językowej kreatywności Williama Szekspira. Praca omawia także takie problemy jak miejsce słowotwórstwa w opisie językoznawczym, cechy definicyjne kategorii Nomina Agentis oraz jej granica kategorialna, oraz pojęcie produktywności w słowotwórstwie, ze szczególnym wskazaniem na problematykę szacowania produktywności danych formantów/procesów/kategorii w badaniach historycznojęzykowych.
