Fiona Watt (ur. w 1960 roku) napisała wiele książek dla najmłodszych - ma na swoim koncie ponad sto pozycji. Jest wysoce zaangażowana zarówno w tworzenie tekstów, jak i ich publikację.
Watt urodziła się 22 października 1960 roku w Dartford, na południowo-wschodnich przedmieściach Londynu. Uzyskała wyższe wykształcenie na poziomie licencjackim na Uniwersytecie w Exeter. Po ukończeniu studiów rozpoczęła karierę pedagogiczną, jednak po trzech latach pracy w szkole podstawowej w Kent przeniosła się do Holandii. Tam przez dwa lata nauczała w lokalnej brytyjskiej szkole. W tym okresie, będąc z dala od Wysp Brytyjskich, zdecydowała o zmianie swojej ścieżki zawodowej. Ostatecznie zrezygnowała z pracy w szkole i powróciła do ojczyzny.
W Wielkiej Brytanii znalazła pracę w wydawnictwie Usborne Publishing, gdzie objęła stanowisko pisarki/redaktorki. Książki Fiony Watt szybko zaskarbiły sobie serca czytelników. Jej najpopularniejszą serią jest "That’s Not My". Każda pozycja przedstawia inne zagadnienie, co pozwala dzieciom poznawać świat i zwierzęta. Autorka zyskała sławę również dzięki tworzeniu serii "Sticker Dolly Dressing", która także opowiada o zwierzętach, jednak składa się z dużej liczby sympatycznych naklejek, które pokochali najmłodsi czytelnicy.
